2012 Ripe Shou Cha

Fermented in Menghai, and stored in Kunming for two years, this smooth dark puer has more complexity than your average ripe puer. Satisfyingly dark and thick (as ripe puer is so famous for), but also giving aromas of nasturtium and cacao nibs. Leaf blended from remote regions of Bulang and Meng Song are expertly fermented to brew up notes of coffee, orange peel, and red raisins… finishing with a cooling impression of the underbelly of a river stone.

An interesting puer for sure!
