In 2016, we had the pleasure of visiting Gopaldhara for a couple days…we walked the fields in early morning, and late at night. See more of our story here.  We saw processing, plucking, and spent the day with the manager…not a bad day! Located in the gorgeous Mirik Valley, Gopaldhara features incredibly steep slopes that lead down to its new factory. They’ve been growing tea here for over 100 years, so they are pretty deeply rooted.

Once again, we’re happy to provide two teas from this summer’s harvest…two distinct styles that truly express a Darjeeling 2nd Flush Tea.

This is our take on the classic style 2nd flush…it has that classic muscatel depth, with notes of maple, cinnamon, blackberry, & a touch of cinnamon spice.

There’s lot of life to this tea, so go ahead and try to brew a few times…it can get mighty strong too, but as always, you can adjust your steeping methods to bring out the perfect amount of strength you’re looking for!
