Houzan Dragonfly Teapot

This teapot was custom made for us during our 2019 visit to Sawa Houzan in Shigaraki, Japan. We spoke with Houzansan for quite a while, of different styles, glazes, spouts, and handles…and came together on this design.

It’s a beauty to pour…with the bamboo handle, expertly shaped spout, and built in strainer…looking closely, one can see so many touches of a master potter.
