Houzan Side Handle Kyusu

Hand made by the Houzan-san in Shigaraki, Japan.  This side handle teapot has the distinct crackle glaze that ages so nicely…As with all the teapots made by Houzansan, it is also just a pleasure to pour.

This design stands out with the wide top opening..which is nice for a few reasons:

1. Ease of adding tea & cleaning
2. gives a good surface area for the tea to expand and cool
3. This also makes it especially great for high quality Japanese green tea.
