A heavier oxidized black tea, this is a quite different tea than our usual 1st flush selection. Actually, this style of tea we usually reserve for the 2nd flush harvest (see Nepal Imperial Black if you’re partial to stronger black tea).

But when we tasted this on our travels, it was difficult not to share. The heavy oxidation still gives the chocolate notes and darker-reddish cup, but with the Spring lightness, there’s also more ethereal notes of flowers (take note chocolate-makers)…difficult to name which ones, but perhaps you can help us?
