Organic Tulsi Chai

Herbal spice blend

Now enjoy our great chai blend without the caffeine! A base of Certified Organic Vermont Tulsi is blended with our custom chai spice blend – including ginger, clove, black pepper, cardamom, orange peel, and cinnamon.

  • Great on its own or with a splash of milk and honey.

  • Just steep as you like, or simmer on the stove to make it stronger!

Stone Leaf Teahouse Tulsi Chai:
…how we make it in the teahouse!: (with separate spice and Tulsi)

-3/4 cup water, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp masala spice* – simmer for 3-5 minutes (longer you simmer, more spicy it gets!
— turn off heat.
– add 1 tsp Organic Vermont Tulsi
— let sit 2 minutes
– add 1/2 cup milk, turn up the heat
—once it starts to boil up, pull off heat and strain

-practice your pouring back and forth from cup to teapot to get that great foam on top!
-pour into your cup (do that high pour!)…and garnish with ground cinnamon

*crush or grind your spices to get more out of them

**adjust quantities and times to suit your desired levels of strength!

*** substitute your favorite sweetener (local honey, maple syrup recommended 🙂 and milk as you like. (for milk, some nutmilks will separate if you try to boil…we use oatmilk)
