High Mountain Sencha
2nd Flush Harvest
Umegashima Tea Garden: High Mountain Sencha
The classic Japanese leaf tea grown at high elevation in Shizuoka Prefecture. At, 1,000 meters, this tea garden is one of the highest altitude gardens in Japan. A gentle steaming of the leaves allows this tea to retain much of it natural green characteristics and appearance. A summer harvest from one of our favorite gardens!
A longer steaming process and gentle roasting gives this special tea a bright crisp green cup with a nutty aroma and smooth finish. A great value for the quality of the leaf.
