Ready for Autumn? Time to stoke up the fire and get water boiling.
We have a full stock of 2016 fresh harvest teas in the teahouse, which makes us want to do two things: 1. Share them 2. Share them.
So, we have a few options beyond the Teahouse before all the leaves fall:
Sunday: October 23rd, 1pm. Snake Mountain Tea Hike.
We’ll meet at the western side of Snake Mountain at 1pm for approximately a 1 hour hike up to the top. There we’ll fire up our stove and get the water boiling in the kettle for some fresh mountain tea (it tastes better when we work for it, doesn’t it?). We’ll provide all the tea needs, just please bring proper hiking and weather gear…some snacks might be good too 🙂 We’ll be at the top for about 30 min, so bring warm gear. Meet at the Mountain Rd. parking lot. Hike: expect 2.5 hours total. $5/person. Purchase here
Rain location: Tea @Stone Leaf Teahouse…not quite a hike, but a great place to be on a rainy day…and exclusively yours, as we’re usually closed!
Saturday: October 29, 11am-12:30pm. Fresh Tea Workshop @Illuminate Space.
Taste the difference fresh makes. We have a lot of fresh tea right now, so for this tasting we’ll make teas that are especially fresh and tasty for the autumn season. No prior tea knowledge necessary, and as always, we’ll pull out some special teas for even the most seasoned tea drinker. Illuminate Space is in the Marble Works, the building east of Stone Leaf Teahouse. See on google maps here. $15/person. Purchase here
Wednesday: Nov 2nd, 6:30pm-7:30pm. Tea Roasting: Bamboo, Electricity, Smoke & Charcoal @Stone Leaf Teahouse.
Each year, when the nighttime temperature drops, we fire up our bamboo roaster. Why? Because we discovered there’s just something uniquely special to freshly roasted tea. We’ll taste our selections of house roasted teas, as well as dive into other teas from around the world that utilize this finishing method in a myriad of manners. google maps @Stone Leaf Teahouse $15/person.
