Spring 2016 Sheng Puer Cha

Tea pressed into bamboo! Naka mountain is famous for its bamboo puer tea. The unique process involves heating bamboo over charcoal, stuffing it with mao cha (loose leaf puer) as the steam softens the leaf. The bamboo tubes are then roasted and dried over a period of days.

This 2016 harvest is a nice smooth bamboo puer, showing a golden infusion with notes of freshly cracked butternut and a slight sherry cask finish.

It’ll be fun to see this one age!

  • Approximately tea comes in bamboo tube (you will need to split the bamboo tube)
  • +/- 10 g per bamboo tube.
