Ba Meng Da Shu Mao Cha
Fresh spring 2022 harvest!!
Da Shu: big tree: 大树: +100 years old naturally growing tea trees
Ba Meng Village
Grown deep in the mountains of Ba Meng Village, near Meng Song, the Hani people cultivate tea trees spread over a diverse landscape. They’ve tended these trees for many generations, still processing the teas completely by hand and heating them by wood fire. The landscape and their methods give distinctive character to their teas: a noticeable strength and smoothness of raw puer that makes it drinkable, fresh, and great for aging.
This round Da Shu loose leaf puer tea is notably flavorful and aromatic, deep and smooth with notes of basil, cherry cask, and melon.

Wow, this is a really nice maocha–incredibly smooth, grassy, slightly astringent/peppery (like a good white tea) but with no bitterness. Great mouthful and reminiscent of some of the better 10-15 year old aged shengs I’ve had recently. Highly recommend trying this one!
