Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden. Certified Organic
A beautifully crafted and unique white tea from Nepal. Abundant tips and little oxidation give notes of honeydew melon, peach, chrysanthemum flowers, and lemongrass, resulting in a light but full and smooth cup. This is not your usual white tea, however. You’ll notice a touch of green in the cup, brought about by a shaded drying method (traditional white teas are dried in the sun).

This is a great young white tea, I would place it in between bai mu dan and gong mei based on the ratio of bud vs leaves. It has a sweet brown sugar aroma and a great match to the vendor description for flavor.
I found that it likes boiling water, and as the leaves are small, it doesn’t take a long time to get a good steep, the slight astringency is perfect. And I have to say, I’ve had other Jun Chiyabari teas, there is something special they all have in common, you will be able to tell.
180ml gaiwan, 1 1/2 tablespoon of leaves, boiling water, one quick rinse, 20 sec 1st steep, then 30 sec steep, one minute steep, keep increasing the time.
